Where is it used? The flow restrictor, made of food grade material, is designed for easy connection and disconnection without the need for tools. It is specifically used to maximize RO water output while minimizing waste water production. By creating back pressure on the drain line, it helps propel water through the membrane at a fast enough rate to keep it clean. This flow restrictor is compatible with standard tubing OD 1/4" Copper, CPVC, PEX, and PVC tubing commonly used in RO systems. Applications include RO systems, beverage dispensers, refrigerator ice makers, coffee machines, and more. It is essential for maintaining the balance of the brine solution from the membrane and ensuring proper filtration by providing enough back pressure against the RO membrane. It can also be used to upgrade systems for increased usage, streamlining water filter installations.

How do you use it? Simply splice the flow restrictor into the drain line that discharges waste water into the sink, following the arrow to ensure correct installation direction. To remove, press on the outer circles on each end and pull straight out. Ensure that the tubing is cut squarely to prevent leaks, and insert it straight and fully into the connector to prevent any crimps that could lead to leaks. Make sure the membrane flow rating matches the flow restrictor for optimal results.
